Project VisMO
3i Process
The 3i process is a three step process that helps students break down spatial information, make a prediction and investigate whether their prediction is accurate.

Identify
At the Identify stage students are tasked with annotating what they notice about the image or object.

Investigate
In the final stage of the process, students test their predictions of the resulting image by physically performing the fold, cut, or other transformation (e.g., rotation) on their origami unit or model.
imagine
Once students have broken down the image to its parts and features, they are tasked with sketching what they believe the image or object might look like after it is transformed through folding, cutting or rotating.
